Note from Skeeter 9/24/07
Hey, Peeps!
I haven’t been very good about updating, have I? Nowadays,
people just don’t write letters like they used to. Now everybody
uses email. Hmph!
Because I’m becoming a lot more confident around others,
I’ve had a couple play dates recently. Since Halloween is
just around the corner, I’ve been trying to think of what
I want to be. Tux thinks we should both go as Neo from The Matrix.
In this pic, we were practicing our stop action poses. Pretty good,
huh?

In my next photo, I’m doing some strength training.

I’m really looking forward to going to a new home where I
can practice my snuggling with you, b4 the cold of winter gets here.
A couple families have expressed an interest in me, but they didn’t
have fences. I may be sight impaired, but I can run like the wind!
Well, I’ve gotta go, it’s time for Animal Cops. I love
to see them bust those irresponsible owners. I wish they could have
found mine.
Until next time,
Skeet
And no, I am not going to dress up and be Skeeter, Skeeter, Pumpkin
Eater!
Nicknames: Gizmo, Skeeter Skeeter
Pumpkin Eater, Skeet, The Skeet Man
Pet Peeve: Not being placed
in my fur-ever home yet.
Just a quick note to update you on my progress…
For someone who wandered along on my own, I have to admit that
I really do enjoy having friends. I guess that you could say that
I’m a social butterfly, just emerging from my cocoon (hey,
everyone needs to be dramatic once in a while!).
I’ve been to lots of events, and have met soo many people.
Believe it or not, I haven’t met a person yet, that I didn’t
like. My heart thumps with pride when people talk about how handsome
I am-wink wink! Honestly, you can’t tell from looking at me,
that I am sight impaired. I have gorgeous eyes that follow the sound
of your voice. That leads me to my next revelation…
Aye Carumba, I’m not totally blind! I can tell the difference
between light and dark, and I can also see movement. I’m really
a sharp fellow, if I do say so myself. In a flash, I can learn the
layout of your house! I’m becoming quite self sufficient.
With a few guiding words, like “careful up” or “careful
down”, I have learned to maneuver all kinds of obstacles (including
stairs). I’m crate trained, and when I go somewhere to visit,
I don’t potty where I’m not supposed to! I love to go
in the car. I crawl up into the backseat, and I lay down to enjoy
the ride. Oh yea, “Life is a highway, I’m gonna ride
it all night long”. Speaking of night, I wanna let you know
that I am the most excellent bed buddy! I will snuggle right up
next to you while you fall asleep, but then I’ll scoot over
and give you some breathing room. Another thing that I’ve
learned…being inside during a thunderstorm, is a heck of a
lot better than being outside IN a thunderstorm! I’ve proud
to report that I’ve pretty much conquered that fear. I’m
also a really good listener, so you can share all of your secrets
with me, and I promise that I won’t share them with anyone
else.
As you can see from my new pics, I am filling out quite nicely.
I probably weigh about 30lbs now.
I’m still nervous around most other animals. That comes from
not always knowing what’s coming at me. I will admit to you
though, that I do have a new K-9 friend. He’s a Rat Terrier.
He’s full of spunk, but he doesn’t pull anything over
on me. Last weekend, I played so much with him, that I think I heard
him cry “Uncle” (whatever that means!).
I hope that this gives you a little more insight as to who I am.
I hope that you’ll look deep in your heart, and find that
empty spot that I can fill for you. ‘Til next time…
XXXOOO,
Skeeter
