He
has been put into many different situations, from taking his
food and toys away while eating and playing, to being still
in the bathub, experiencing the commotion of adoption events,
being handled and loved on at the vet or by the neighborhood
children, and the list goes on. He is very easy going and
a good little watchdog (he will let out a grumble if he sees
something that's not quite right but never carries on with
barking). However, a guard dog he is not. He welcomes EVERYONE
and is an all around fantastic dog. He is a great representative
of a pit bull or any dog, has the biggest loving heart ever,
and is loved by anyone who has ever met him."

Update
April 2005
Rontu
is in a foster home and is a WONDERFUL companion. He lives
with two other dogs and enjoys their company. He lives for
walks and especially car rides, ready to go and do whatever
anyone in the household would like. He has a great combination
of energy and mellowness- he can be very laid back. He loves
people so much- whenever a member of his family leaves the
room and comes back in, he acts as if he hasn't seen them
in a while and is delighted with their presence. Rontu is
a very strong dog and will need good and positive leadership.
He is generally quiet but will bark sometimes during play.
His one 'flaw' is that he likes to jump up on people (it's
his form of getting as close as possible to someone- mainly
to give kisses), so he is learning that not everyone appreciates
that! Aside from a great temperament, he is drop dead gorgeous
and attracts quite a bit of attention wherever he goes. He
is very confident and outgoing and knows no stranger. He is
a joy to have around, is a clown and entertains on a daily
basis, and is very much loved by everyone who knows him.
Gorgeous
male Red/Rednose. Young Happy, Friendly and outgoing. Rontu
is an excellent of the American Pit Bull Terrier.
Rontu
is one incredibly lucky boy, He made his way to animal control,
picked up as an abandoned dog. Many of the volunteers were
sure he would be claimed as he came in with a healthy coat
and no fighting wounds. He appeared to be someone's cherished
pet. A Monday morning was his euthanasia day, He amazingly
was passed over and when his current rescuer heard he was
still there she new she had to list him right away.
Rontu
is a beautiful dog both inside and out. He is not a fence
fighter with the other dogs, he is pretty responsive, not
super rambunctious, loves to play ball and carry around sticks,
loves to crawl in your lap when you are sitting down, gives
lots of kisses, rides well in the car, and is not a barker
at all.
We
have not introduced him to other dogs except for him meeting
through the kennel, but we will try and do so very soon. We
think he will probably do well with a friendly female. Rontu
can not be placed with cats however. We have not seen Rontu
around young children, but his temperament is excellent, we
expect him to do well with children. He would probably very
much enjoy older children to play with.
Please
take me home with you......I'm
ready to go....
