My Story:
Meet your new best friend!

Fly Girl is the life of the party! She has come through being rescued from a high kill shelter (whew!) and then ended up needing surgery on her rear leg for a cruciate ligament tear in the knee. Her prognosis was great and she is fully healed.

All that is behind her now and she is fully ready to start her new life with that special someone. Fly Girl is one very sweet girl, and she sure does know how to have a good time! She has been in foster care for several months now and is proving herself to be a very entertaining and intelligent buddy. She loves to learn new things and plays for hours with her toys.
She will do butt runs through the house and yard and chase a ball as long as you can throw it! We think Fly Girl would do well in agility training, fly
ball, obedience and any other working activities.

She responds well to positive reinforcement. In fact, her focus on toys is so strong that we are testing her to see if she could be a working detection dog (in law enforcement). We would love to see her go on to a great career if she has the right "stuff". But regardless, she is a great dog who needs a loving home!
One thing is sure, Fly Girl deserves a home where she can show off her many talents and have a devoted family to call her own. Fly Girl would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where her family can spend time playing fetch, hide and seek and just romping around. Fly Girl is very exuberant to meet new people, and needs someone who has time to devote to her or she will outsmart you! She enjoys the company of other dogs, but needs one-on-one time with her family members--she does NOT do well with cats (they are simply too much fun to chase). She is a small and compact little thing, but can be a little overwhelming with toddlers and would be better matched with older children who like to work on new tricks and play fetch with her. She loves to have her big ears rubbed, and she is a cuddle bug when it comes time to sleep at night--she enjoys being under the covers :)

Fly Girl is fully house and crate trained, knows basic commands and is learning new ones all the time. If you are looking for a sweet, smart little dog who will be your best buddy and entertain you, this is the girl for you!
