Please help these boys get out of a shelter in Baton Rouge. They are housed in stainless steel kennels with little room to exercise. The staff there is very fond of them, but they know that this is no “life” for these dogs. If you’re interested in adopting any of these guys, they are even willing to help transport them to the KC metro area. Let the New Year be a year of hope for them!

Cash and Gonzo – are Pit Bull/Shepherd mix puppies (litter mates born approximately 5/08).... they both came to us in 9/08

An older lady had a stray female she took in and shortly thereafter, she had 7 puppies. The woman was having a hard time with them and they were becoming unsocial so we took 2 for her. The mom died when the pups were young.

Both are neutered males. They are up-to-date on all their vaccinations and on heartworm preventative and flea control. They love to play and are full of energy. They love the dog-park nearby and would love to get out and run all day long. Gonzo is extremely friendly and wonderful with other dogs and people, including kids. Cash is good with other dogs, however, is hesitant around people. With a few treats and positive interactions, he does relax and shows his playful side.
