Update 2009:

I know it’s been a LONG time since I’ve stopped by to let everyone know how I’m doing sorry for such the long wait!

As you can see from my updated pictures, my skin is doing SO much better!!!! And wow does it finally feel good to have someone touch me and rub my belly!

I have developed a certain need…….every morning when my foster mom is getting ready for work….. I patiently wait by her feet and if I go un-noticed too long I just give her a few paws and she quickly notices me!  Well I sit patiently to have my morning brushing and blow drying… oh it feels sooooo good!  I never thought it could feel so good to be brushed and to think I was so scared of that for so long!  Oh what a way to start each day!

Also with my skin better I smell so much better!  No more stinky gym sock smell!  I am still very sensitive about certain things.  My foster mom says that even though my skin is better I will probably always have the chance of having problems with it from time to time.  Even when my skin is better, I am still very sensitive and I still need to wear my shirts when it is cold outside or really sunny out.  I have become very used to having them on, and the best time is right when they come out of the dryer and they are still warm!

I have become very comfortable in my foster home, as you can see my two favorite places to be are on the couch with my foster kids or on someone’s lap, any lap I’m really not picky!  So I could become very comfortable in your lap in a “for-ever” home!  I’m a good snuggler / blanket hog.

I still get along really well with all of the other animals in my home as you can see we all helped out opening our Christmas presents this year!  Ok so maybe I hogged the spotlight there at the end, but I just couldn’t wait any longer, I was so excited to get those cookies!  I do still have a lot of fun playing with the cats in our house... we all get kind of rough sometimes, they enjoy playing with us (dogs) my foster mom says they aren’t like most normal cats and she does think that it may be best if my new home doesn’t have cats or if they do, that my new home won’t mind if their cats get slobbered on from time to time from me.

I sure have liked being spoiled!!!  I can’t imagine what it will feel like to be spoiled at my “for-ever” home!  Just remember not to forget about me or all of my bully friends here who are waiting to be your “for-ever” friend!

Update 10/18/07

Clarence is doing fabulous!! His treatments are going extremely well and he has grown back most of his hair. With the growth of hair we've also discovered now that he has Entropian in his eye. He is scheduled for surgery on 10/22.

He is the happiest most wonderful little guy. He is super eager to please and is very much adored by everyone who meets him. He should be ready for his very own forever home soon!!

My Story:

How? Why? WHO? We asked ourselves the very same questions when we laid eyes on Clarence......

Clarence was found in the KC area left for dead in a ditch. A good samaritan spotted him and contacted animal control. 2 days later in 100 degree heat - Clarence was still there....so this kind person did the only thing she could and took him to a vets office to put Clarence out of his suffering and have him humanely euthanized, but as he was carried to the table....his tail began to wag....and wag.....and wag. After all this, Clarence was still fighting to stay alive.....

MABBR was notified of the situation and there was no way we couldn't step in to help this precious soul. We have found him a foster home who will be nursing Clarence back to health. It will be a long road to recovery.
